NJ Seal of Biliteracy Information

For the Class of 2023

We are offering a very special opportunity for you to stand out among the crowd!  Do you know how to speak, read, write, and understand any language(s) other than English? You may be a great candidate for the Seal of Biliteracy!

The Seal of Biliteracy is a chance for graduating Seniors to demonstrate that they can speak, listen, read and write in two or more languages at a high level of  proficiency.

Hightstown High School proudly participates in the Seal of Biliteracy. By successfully attaining the Seal of Biliteracy students will be certified biliterate, can provide employers proof of language skills and biliteracy, provide colleges and universities a method to recognize and award students with academic credit, show proof of developed 21st Century skills, and so much more.

Please see the attachment below for an informational brochure about the Seal of Biliteracy. If you believe you have what it takes to be part of the program we will be sending out an interest form when we return from winter break.

An informational session will be held for Seniors who are eligible to take the assessments for the Seal of Biliteracy.

*Please note that interest and or participation in the attainment of the Seal of Biliteracy does not guarantee attainment of the Seal. Criteria set by the State of New Jersey will determine eligibility in participation and attainment of the Seal of Biliteracy.
