HHS Coach of the Year Nominee Needed
Background
This award is named for Russ Beaulieu, who as a coach at Hightstown High School is the only coach in the history of the school to have coached 7 state championship soccer teams out of the 8 years he was head coach. Russ passed away in December of 2022 at the age of 93. His players were always special to him and he kept in contact with many even up until his death. It did not matter who you were. When you came out to play for Russ, you knew he would teach you the game, be there for you, and treat you fairly. This recognition is given once a year to a Hightstown High School coach that exemplifies Russ’s spirit in coaching.
We invite you to nominate an athletic member who has made a significant impact on the athletes, the sports program, and the school community. An ideal athletic member at Hightstown High School exhibits the following characteristics:
- Inspires athletes to reach their full potential, both on and off the field.
- Exemplifies fair play, integrity, and respect for opponents, officials, and team members.
- Acts as a role model and mentor, supporting athletes' personal growth and academic success.
